Lira Voice is paused

We are not taking Lira Voice on right now and are not signing anyone up for it. The pages in this section describe the product as it was built, and are kept so existing readers are not left with dead links. Nothing here is available today.

Everything else on the Lira platform, chat, email, WhatsApp and the widget's own voice button, is live and unaffected. If phone support is what you need, tell us through book a demo and we will let you know when we pick it up.

Voice and the main Lira platform

Lira Voice and the Lira support platform are two products that share one account and one business record. This page explains exactly what is shared and what is not, because it is the thing people are least sure about.

Two products, two surfaces

You can use either alone. Neither requires the other.

One account

The same email and password work on both. If you already have a Lira account, sign in to Lira Voice with it. If you sign up on Lira Voice first, that account works on the main platform too.

You do not create a second account, and you should not try to — an email can only hold one account.

One business

A business in Lira Voice is the same record as a workspace in the main platform. Different word, same thing: we call it a business in Voice because that is what a restaurant owner calls it.

This matters when you use both. If you set up voice for Kofi Auto Parts and later want the Lira widget on the Kofi Auto Parts website, you do not re-enter the business. It is already there.

What happens when a voice customer opens the main app

The main platform asks for things Voice never needed: your website, a description, your industry, a logo. So the first time you sign in there, it asks whether to:

  • Continue with the business you already set up in Voice — it keeps your phone line, your agent and your details, and just collects the extra web details, or
  • Set up a different business — a separate workspace, unrelated. Your voice line stays exactly as it is.

The choice is yours and nothing is linked until you make it. One account can genuinely run two businesses, and someone who set up a restaurant's phone line may be on the main platform for an unrelated company.

If you want neither right now, choose Not now and the main app stops asking.

What is shared, and what is not

Shared today

  • Your account, sign-in, and email verification
  • The business record itself, and its name

Not shared today

  • Knowledge. Voice answers from what you type on the Your agent page; the widget answers from your platform knowledge base. When the Voice knowledge base opens, the two become one.

  • Billing. They meter different things and are invoiced separately. See Plans and pricing.

  • Conversations. Phone calls to your Lira Voice number live in the Voice dashboard; chats and tickets live in the main inbox.

This is only about the phone product. Inside the Lira widget, voice and chat are the same conversation: a customer who talks and then types continues one thread, with the same history and the same knowledge base. See Voice in the widget.

Which should I start with?

If your customers mostly phone you, start with Lira Voice. If they mostly find you on the web, start with the support platform. If both, start with whichever is losing you more business today — you can add the other later without re-entering anything.
