We are not taking Lira Voice on right now and are not signing anyone up for it. The pages in this section describe the product as it was built, and are kept so existing readers are not left with dead links. Nothing here is available today.
Everything else on the Lira platform, chat, email, WhatsApp and the widget's own voice button, is live and unaffected. If phone support is what you need, tell us through book a demo and we will let you know when we pick it up.
Questions people ask
What it is
What is Lira Voice?
It answers your business phone line. A customer rings your number and a natural local voice picks up, knows your hours, prices and policies, answers them, and writes down the call.
Is this the same as the voice button in the Lira widget?
No. The widget's mic button is a voice chat on your website. Lira Voice is your phone number. Different product, different surface, same brain.
Is it a feature or a product?
A product. It has its own dashboard at voice.liraintelligence.com, its own plans, and it can be bought on its own.
Do I need the main Lira platform to use it?
No. Lira Voice works alone.
Is it actually built, or is this a waiting list?
It was built and it worked. It is now paused: we are not signing anyone up and no line is being switched on. It is not cancelled, and we expect to return to it.
Trying it
Can I hear it before signing up?
Yes. There is a phone on liraintelligence.com/voice — tap the contact and you are on a live call.
Why does it ask for my name and email?
So the agent can greet you by name and so we can follow up. It is asked once per browser, and never if you are already signed in.
How long is the demo call?
90 seconds, with a countdown on screen. When it ends, the transcript appears below the phone so you can see exactly what was logged.
How many times can I test it?
As many as you like. There is a generous daily cap per internet connection to stop abuse, which nobody reaches in normal use.
Signing up
How do I create an account?
Go to voice.liraintelligence.com, choose Create account, and sign up with email or Google. Email signups get a 6-digit verification code.
I already have a Lira account. Do I make a new one?
No. Sign in with the same email and password. One email, one account, both products.
Does my Voice business connect to my main platform workspace?
It is the same record. When you first open the main app it asks whether to continue with the business you set up in Voice, or start a separate one. Your choice, and nothing links until you make it. See Voice and the platform.
How long does setup take?
Two steps: your business, and which number you want. A couple of minutes. Filling in your agent's hours, prices and policies takes longer and is worth doing properly.
The phone line
Can I keep my existing number?
Yes, and most businesses should. Calls to the number on your signage forward to Lira, and your customers never learn a new one.
Or can I get a new number?
Yes. Choose the country, and a city if you have a preference.
Which countries can I get a number in?
Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, the UK and the US are where we are actively provisioning. Other countries are listed and we will tell you honestly if we cannot serve yours yet.
My number says "not verified". Is something wrong?
No. That is the normal state for every business in early access. It means we have your details and your line is not switched on yet.
When will my line be live?
Finishing setup does not make your line live. Phone lines are switched on in small batches, and yours goes live when your batch opens, not when you finish filling things in.
We do not give a date, because a date we cannot keep is worse than none. We work the queue in order and contact you directly when your batch opens. A fully filled-in agent goes live faster than an empty one.
The agent
What does the agent know?
Exactly what you tell it: what your business does, your hours, your prices and currency, your policies, and the personality you chose.
What if a caller asks something I did not fill in?
It says it will have someone confirm, and takes a message. It is told explicitly what it does not know so it does not guess. This is why the dashboard nags you until the important fields are filled.
Can I change things after going live?
Yes, any of it, at any time.
Can it read my website or my menu instead?
That is built but locked during early access. When it opens, your agent will answer from your site and uploaded documents, and the same knowledge will serve the Lira widget on your website.
Voices and names
What voices are available?
None today: Lira Voice is paused, so no voice can be chosen and no custom brand voice is being recorded. When it was running there were two Nigerian voices, professional and conversational, plus a custom brand voice recorded with you. None of this was ever part of a Lira platform plan.
Who is Fred?
The name of our Nigerian voice. Lira is the platform and our American English voice; Fred is the local voice you hear on the demo.
Can I name my agent something else?
Yes, and you probably should. Your customers are calling you, so the agent should introduce itself with a name that belongs to your business. Choosing a voice fills in a default name, and you can change it.
Does it speak Pidgin or other Nigerian languages?
The voice is Nigerian-accented English. Additional languages are on the roadmap rather than available today.
Money
What does it cost?
Nothing, because it is paused and not being sold. Pricing will be confirmed when we pick it up again, and any figure published before then is not a quote we would stand behind today.
Am I being charged now?
No. Nothing is charged while you set up. Payment opens once your line is verified, and we confirm the plan with you first.
Why is this priced differently from the main Lira plans?
They meter different things. Platform plans are priced on conversations; Voice is priced on answered calls, and a call costs materially more to run — speech recognition, speech synthesis and a carrier leg that a web chat never pays for.
Is there a free plan?
No. There is a period before your line is live where nothing is charged, which is not the same thing.
Can I pay to jump the queue?
No, because payment is not open. If your case is genuinely urgent, tell us at book a demo.
Data and privacy
Are calls recorded?
Calls are transcribed and the transcript is saved to your dashboard, so you can read what customers asked for.
Who can see my transcripts?
Your business. They are stored against your business record like the rest of your account data.
Does the demo take real actions?
No. The demo on the marketing page is an automated conversation with no real actions of any kind.
Getting help
How do I contact a person?
Book a demo or email [email protected]. If you left a WhatsApp number during setup, we will usually use that.
